Graduate Internship Program at Plan in Tharaka, Kisumu, Machakos, Bondo, Homabay, Kilifi, Kwale and Nairobi
Plan is an international humanitarian, child centered community development organization, without religious, political or government affiliation. Plan works at grass roots level with children, families and communities to bring about long term sustainable development. Child sponsorship is the basic foundation of the organization. Plan’s global identity includes a central organizing thought – ‘children are at the heart of everything we do’ – with four organizational attributes: building relationships; being a recognized voice; achieving results and realizing potential.
GRADUATE INTERNS (15 VACANCIES)
Plan Kenya has a Graduate Internship Program that is intended to further its vision and mission by providing learning opportunities to young graduates while creating a pool of employable persons for short- term and long-term development related careers. With this, Plan Kenya is inviting young men and women who meet the required criteria below and are interested in taking part in this program to submit applications for consideration.
Criteria for eligibility
Those eligible to apply to participate in the Internship program shall be Kenyan citizens who meet the following criteria:
- Graduates from Kenyan universities/reputable colleges.
- Graduates who have completed studies in a relevant field of study (as identified by Plan’s programs) in 2012 and 2013
- Graduates who are willing to commit their time on the program for the entire year
- Demonstrated good character, creativity, honesty and positive attitude
- Graduates who are currently not in employment
- Graduates who were sponsored by Plan or have experienced the impact of Plan’s community development programs in their homes are encouraged to apply
Location:
Will be within Plan programme areas which are Tharaka, Kisumu, Machakos, Bondo, Homabay, Kilifi, Kwale, Urban program (Nairobi) and Kenya Country office (Nairobi).
