Niusline Media Limited is a public relations and communication company, with operations in Media relations, printing and graphic design, video production and Editing. It attracts and serves a wide audience in Kenya and beyond. We are seeking for interested candidates to undertake internships in Public relations and Marketing for three months from Aug-Sep 2014. 

JOB OBJECTIVE 

Internships are aimed at providing the incumbent with hands on skills in development and management of public relations projects. The Intern will understudy the Projects manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Undertake various roles as assigned by the supervisors. The roles will mainly be in Event management, Media relations and management, Media monitoring, Video production and editing, Graphic design, Printing, Public relations, and Social media communication

•  Have an open mind and ready to learn
• Be a quick learner
• Be able to take instructions and implement them correctly
• Be capable of adhering to flexible working hours and days(especially weekends)
•  Be willing to travel and work within and outside of Nairobi
•  Be willing to work for the 3 months without leave or days off

Professional attributes

• Have a passion for Public relations and Communication
• Have a broad understanding of Public relations and communication activities
• Have excellent analytical skills
• Have a creative mind
• Have excellent writing skills
• Have excellent skills in MS office and internet research
• Be a recent graduate (not earlier than June 2013)
•  Have excellent work ethics and work place etiquette
• Be self motivated and able to work with little supervision
• Knowledge on web management, graphic design, script writing, and video production & editing will be an added advantage.
• No experience is required for this position
• Be willing to take a practical interview to test your skills on PR and Marketing

Successful candidates will ONLY receive a transport allowance amounting to Kshs. 5,000 per month, this amount is not negotiable. Each candidate should be ready to cater for their own insurance, accommodation, meals and other personal expenses during the Internship period.
